The Rufabgo waterfalls in Adygea hosted the Haluzh Day for the 13th time

 


On June 15, 2024, at the Rufabgo waterfalls in the Republic of Adygea, Haluzh Day was held for the 13th time - a holiday in honor of a popular dish of Circassian (Adyghe) cuisine: a pie fried in oil with Adyghe cheese.

The program included competitions for the most delicious haluzh in 5 categories: “Nane yihaluzh” (“Grandmother’s haluzh”); "Mefech haluzh" ("Festive haluzh");  "Bisimguashem yihaluzh" ("Haluzh of the hostess"); "Nise a'ap" ("Bride's Hands"); "Qezghezezhighe haluzh" ("Haluzh who returned to his homeland").

In addition, the event included a concert program, an exhibition and sale of products from folk art crafts, a master class on making cheese and an entertainment program for children.
