Kadyrbech Daurov (Adygea) won gold at the Russian Taekwondo Championship

An athlete from the Republic of Adygea Kadyrbech Daurov won a gold medal in the weight category up to 74 kg. The head of the republic, Murat Kumpilov, congratulated him,-  the newspaper Soviet Adygea reports.

“On the very first day, our fellow countryman won. This summer he competed as a member of the Russian team at the World Taekwondo Championships in Baku, where he became a bronze medalist. Today Kadyrbech again confirmed his high sports qualifications, becoming the champion of Russia! Congratulations to our athlete and his mentor !" – Murat Kumpilov wrote in his Telegram channel.

The head of Adygea also noted that the republic has always been famous for its sports traditions, and although taekwondo is a relatively young sport for our region, taekwondo players from Adygea achieve success at competitions at the highest level.

Adygea is hosting the Russian Taekwondo Championship for the first time. The tournament brought together more than 400 of the strongest taekwondo athletes from 49 regions of the Russian Federation. It will last until September 28.
