From December 2 to 4, 2022, at the National Theater of the Republic of Adygea named after I.S. Tsey in the capital city of Maykop, took place the X International Festival of the Circassian (Adyghe) culture. The festival serves to expand cultural cooperation with foreign countries, subjects of the Russian Federation, where Circassians live compactly,- the press service of the Head of Adygea reports.
The festival has attended by creative teams and individual performers from foreign countries, where a large Circassian (Adyghe) diaspora lives, and regions of Russia (the republics of Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Circassia, Adygea, North Ossetia and the Krasnodar Territory). The age of participants of the festival 18 years and older.
The program of the festival included visiting expositions and exhibitions of the National Museum of the Republic of Adygea, the North Caucasian branch of the State Museum of Oriental Art, holding a press conference and a festive concert of masters of art of the Republic of Adygea.
The event is held by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Adygea and the Center for Folk Culture of the Republic of Adygea as part of a set of events dedicated to the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Republic of Adygea.
