Preparations for the construction of a new airport in Arkhyz have begun in Karachay-Circassia

Land has been allocated in the Karachay-Circassian Republic for the future Arkhyz Airport. According to a post on the Telegram channel of the Republic's Head, Rashid Temrizov, the site designated for development covers an area of 395 hectares.

An official agreement with the investor—the management company "Airports of Regions" has already been signed and is currently being implemented. Evgeny Chudnovsky, the holding company's CEO, confirmed that specialists are completing some of the engineering and infrastructure work ahead of schedule.

The modern terminal will be capable of handling up to 1,000 passengers per hour. This high capacity will enable the Republic to seamlessly manage the steadily increasing flow of travelers.

Construction of the new airport complex is scheduled for completion by the end of 2028.
