A prestigious international junior wrestling tournament has kicked off in the capital of Slovakia.
The strongest young athletes from various countries are participating in the competition, according to the Ministry of Sport of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic.
Circassian wrestler Salim Kazmakhov from Kabardino-Balkaria won silver for the Russian national team in the Greco-Roman wrestling competition.
In the decisive bout in the 63 kg weight class, the Circassian wrestler lost to Kuvonchbek Ismoilov from Uzbekistan.
The athlete is being trained by coach Azamat Nagoyev.
The tournament is being held in Bratislava, Slovakia, from August 16 to 23.
