The Asian Judo Cup for U18 athletes concluded in Hong Kong. 120 wrestlers from 13 countries participated in the tournament, according to the Ministry of Sport of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic.
The Circassian brother and sister from Kabardino-Balkaria demonstrated strong results, bringing home two medals of varying denominations for their national team.
In the 48 kg weight category, our athlete Alina Gadanova won gold. She confidently performed all her bouts of the tournament, leaving her opponents no chance.
Amirkhan Gadanov won bronze in the 46 kg category. In the small final, he achieved an early victory with a spectacular throw for ippon.
These competitions were an important step in preparation for the World Cup, which will be held in Ecuador.
Both athletes were trained by coach Zalim Gadanov.
