Arsen Khazhumarovich Gushapsha is a Circassian (Adyghe) sculptor from the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (eastern part of the Circassian homeland), Russian Federation. He was born on January 1, 1963, in the village of Kenzhe, Nalchik, Kabardino-Balkaria. He lives and works in Nalchik. Personal website: arsengu.com.

Education: Moscow Secondary Art School at the V.I. Surikov Institute (1981), Moscow State Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov (1987), under the direction of P.I. Bondarenko. Interned in Italy (since 1991).
Among the main monumental works it is necessary to highlight: monuments - "Tree of Life" - a monument to the victims of the Russian-Caucasian War of 1763-1864 (Nalchik, 2004), "M.Yu. Lermontov" (Nalchik, 2007), "B.Kh. Fiapshev" (Nalchik, 2009), a project of a memorial complex dedicated to the Circassians (Adyghe) expelled from their homeland as a result of the Russian-Caucasian War of 1763-1864 (presented in 2011), "Tree of Life" - a monument to the victims of the Russian-Caucasian War of 1763-1864. (Istanbul, Turkey, 2012), portrait of "S.S. Sherieva, Honored Artist of the RSFSR" (Nalchik, 2012). Easel sculpture: sculptural series "Bird," "Motherhood," "Signs of the Sun," and others.
His works are represented in the collections of the Sochi Art Museum, the North Caucasus Branch of the State Museum of Oriental Art (Maikop), the Center for Contemporary Art (Prilepa, Macedonia), and private collections in Russia, Turkey, the USA, Macedonia, France, and Italy.
Solo exhibitions were held in Nalchik (2007), Krasnodar (2010), and in the halls of the Russian Academy of Arts (Moscow, 2018).
