The European U16 Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships were held in Bulgaria. Circassian wrestler Rustam Nekhay from Adygea won the bronze medal, Murat Kumpilov, Head of the Republic of Adygea, announced on social media.
The wrestler is a graduate of Sports School No. 3 in the Takhtamukaysky District. He competed for the Russian national team in the 68 kg weight class.
"I congratulate the athlete and his coach on this important achievement! I wish him continued success, new heights, and accomplishments!" the head of the republic added.
