The Head of Adygea, Murat Kumpilov, congratulated Adygea athlete Ramazan Tsiku on his successful performance at the European Sambo Championships.
The tournament is reported to have brought together over 300 of the strongest athletes from across the continent in Tbilisi. The Russian team is competing in full force, under the national flag and anthem. The national team also includes a representative from the republic of Adygea, where sambo is a fundamental sport.
Competing in the 64 kg weight class, Ramazan defeated representatives from the Netherlands, Belarus, and Azerbaijan on his way to the podium, but unfortunately lost to the host athlete, Georgia. His silver medal at the European Championships is the result of daily training, perseverance, and the tremendous efforts of Ramazan himself, as well as his coach and mentors. I wish him continued victories and remarkable achievements! - Murat Kumpilov wrote on his social media page.
