On May 9, 2026, the Circassian Museum opened in the town of Kartepe, Kocaeli Province, Turkey. We previously published an announcement about the opening and today we bring you photos from the opening ceremony as well as photos from inside the museum itself.
The opening ceremony was attended by many guests, including the mayor of Kartepe, the heads of Circassian associations in the Kocaeli province, and the heads of Circassian associations in other provinces and cities in Turkey such as Istanbul, Ankara, and others.
The photos inside the museum were taken by the Circassian media "Nart Agency" operating in Turkey. The photos taken from the opening ceremony were taken by the Circassian activist Mehmet Selcuk Kaplan.
