The Russian All-Style Youth Karate Championships concluded in Oryol, bringing together approximately 2,500 young athletes from 66 regions of the country, according to the Ministry of Sports of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic.
The competition was held in three disciplines: limited contact, full contact, and full contact with protective equipment. The Kabardino-Balkarian team won 31 medals.
The winners in their weight classes were Ruslan Karmokov, Salim Rakhaev, Ramazan Mamaev, Hasan Kardanov, Amin Shakhmurzaev, Aidamir Zhambeev, Roman Kontorin, Idar Tlimakhov, and Angelina Lazarenko. These athletes will be part of the main Russian team and represent the country at the World Championships in November.
The following coaches were involved in training the karatekas: Murat Sabanchiev, Daut Keshev, Alan Makoev, Mukhamed Dyshekov, Ruslan Shogenov, Alikhan Kumyshev, Akhmed Aksorov, Shakhmurza Shakhmurzaev and Azamat Nogayliev.
