From April 16 to 21, St. Petersburg hosted the All-Russian "Peter the Great Cup" competition. The tournament brought together approximately 2,900 athletes from 42 regions of the Russian Federation, according to Sovetskaya Adygea, citing the All-Style Karate Federation of the Republic of Adygea.
Five athletes from Adygea participated. The athletes competed in the "Full Contact Fights with Protective Equipment" discipline. This format allows for punches, kicks, knees, and elbows, as well as throwing techniques and ground fighting. In intense matches against opponents from other regions, the athletes from Adygea demonstrated a high level of training and a strong will to win.
