Circassian Judokas from Kabardino-Balkaria won two medals at the European Cup

 


The Podgorica Senior European Cup 2026, a men's and women's European Judo Cup, was held in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro. 277 athletes from 28 countries participated in the competition,- the Ria Kabardino-Balkaria News Agency reports.

The Russian Judo Federation fielded a team of 39 athletes (26 men and 13 women).

Among the athletes from around the world, judokas from Kabardino-Balkaria, Tamerlan Kushkhov, Tamerlan Kuzhev, Amirkhan Kochesokov, Adam Ozov, and Karina Khuranova, competed selflessly for the title of strongest.

Amirkhan Kochesokov took third place in the 60 kg weight class, and Tamerlan Kushkhov took second place in the 73 kg weight class.

The athletes are coached by Zalim Gadanov, Master of Sports of Russia, International Class.
