The Golden Sausruko International Film Festival will be held in Adygea

 


The Adygea Republican branch of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia announced the launch of the 6th Golden Sausruko International Film Festival, which in previous years was held under the name "Adygea, I Love You!",  Sovetskaya Adygea reports, citing the event's media partner, Adygea State University.

"This year, the film festival received international status and, as a result, acquired a new name—Golden Sausruko—symbolizing the connection with the cultural heritage of the Adyghe (Circassian) people. This is a new stage in the development of the project, which continues its mission to discover new names in the world of cinema and strengthen international cultural ties," the statement reads.

The selection committee will be in session until September 5th. From September 6th to 30th, the jury will screen the films and announce the winners and runners-up. The program for the audience will begin on October 14th with the opening ceremony. An educational program, including master classes and a roundtable discussion, will be held on October 15th and 16th. The closing ceremony and awards ceremony for the winners and runners-up is scheduled for October 17th 2026.
