The second episode of the documentary about Circassian (Adyghe) traditions, "Keepers of Culture" from the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company of the Republic of Adygea "Adygea TV" has been released on the VK Video platform, Sovetskaya Adygea reports.
According to Adam Achmiz, director of the Adygea TV and the project's creator the implementation of the documentary project takes on a special symbolic significance during the Year of Peoples' Unity of the Russian Federation, as the film clearly demonstrates how a careful attitude toward one's roots strengthens civic identity and promotes mutual understanding between representatives of different cultures.
The second episode features master restorer Aslan Neguch, People's Artist of Adygea and choreographer Aidamir Naniz, and designer and gold embroidery artist Ruzana Mugu. The project explores how to preserve cultural authenticity in the modern world and where the line is at which creative innovation enriches, rather than destroys, traditions.
The film was produced with the support of the Internet Development Institute. The television premiere of the second episode will take place on February 20 at 5:00 PM on the Adygea State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (GTRK) on the Russia 1 channel.
