AdygLife returns to work in six languages

A week ago there was a decision that our website temporarily would work only with the Circassian language.

Within this week, we thought deeply and carefully about this issue and compared the benefits for our Circassian people of working with only one mother tongue versus working with six languages. The comparison showed that working with six languages today is more beneficial for our nation than working with only the mother tongue and so we decided to go back and work with six languages.

Of course, we continue to work with the Circassian language along with the other languages and call on Circassians both individually and collectively (associations, organizations, etc.) to start working with the Circassian language as we do on our website.

Below is the text we posted a week ago.

Hello to all visitors of our website.

As you can see on our website AdygLife we use six languages and this is in order to disseminate the information on the site to as many people as possible.

This year we are making a drastic change to the site by stopping, probably temporarily, the publications in six languages. We will continue to publish only in the Circassian (adyghe) language on our site. The reason for this is that we feel and clearly see that the Circassian language is being pushed into a corner and its use is becoming less and less every day.

The truth is that not only our website but all Circassians in the world need to start using the language in all the ways and possibilities that exist. Without such an effort, the Circassian language will disappear and with it the Circassian people and homeland will also disappear.

We will do everything to turn the process of the decline of the Circassian language into a process of progress. As we call on everyone to make efforts in this direction.

What we have published so far will remain on the site as an archive that guests can browse. At the bottom of the site will be a list of the languages we have used so far, where you can click on the language and see the writings.

We will also try to publish on our website all the sites and pages on the Internet that work in the Circassian (adyghe) language.
