Books and reading are the foundation of knowledge, nourishment for the soul, a source of information, and the best companions during leisure time and travel.
In its commitment to promoting a culture of reading, research, and documentation, the Circassian Charitable Association inaugurated the Circassian Book and Documents Exhibition in its hall on Thursday, December 25, 2025. The two-day exhibition was organized jointly by the Association's Board of Directors and its Cultural Committee.

These books were in a variety of languages, including Arabic, Circassian, Russian, and Turkish. In addition, there were many diverse historical documents.
Professor Adnan Qabartay provided explanations of each exhibit.
Following the tour, five prominent Circassian writers who had passed away were honored:
Berzej Samkogh, Ezzedine Satas, Essam Wajokh, Muhammad Khair Ismail, and Shafiq Ismail.
The awards were presented to one of their family members or relatives.
Interviews
Engineer Hisham Qat, President of the Association, considered this exhibition one of the most important events organized, as it showcased many important books and documents, some over 100 years old, that addressed Circassian history and some of its prominent figures.
He also spoke about the project for an electronic book in the Circassian language.
He then thanked the Cultural Committee for its efforts in organizing the exhibition.
Mr. Adnan Qabartay, Head of the Circassian Advisory Council and Chairman of the Cultural Committee of the Association, confirmed that preparations for the exhibition began long ago to secure the largest possible quantity of books and documents in various languages.
He explained that the number of documents, which were secured from various sources, exceeded 1,000, but due to space constraints, not all of them could be displayed.
Mr. Badr al-Din Awari, a writer, researcher, and historian, noted that the exhibition is not commercial or profit-driven, but rather an occasion to bring attendees together and foster camaraderie.
It is a message to current and future generations to preserve the heritage and historical and cultural legacy of the peoples of the Caucasus.
