Adygea TV to Release First Episode of Documentary Project "Keepers of Culture"

The first episode of Adam Achmiz's documentary project "Keepers of Culture" will be released on January 21st on VKontakte, and the television premiere will take place on January 30th at 5:00 PM on the Russia 1 channel,- the Sovetskaya Adygeya newspaper reports.

The project explores the ethnography and visual art of the Adyghe people to showcase Circassian culture as a living part of modern times. Filming of the multi-part series took place in the Republic of Adygea in November. It features craftsmen, musicians, storytellers, and teachers for whom preserving traditions is a daily mission.

Our goal is not simply to show artifacts or rituals, but to find in them a reflection of the soul of the people," said Adam Achmiz, director of the Adygea State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company and the project's creator.

He added that the project's heroes are our contemporaries, who, through their labor and talent, write the living history of Circassian (Adyghe) culture every day, preserving its traditional, fundamental form as the foundation for moral guidance and the construction of the future.

All episodes will be translated into Turkish and English to introduce Adyghe's cultural heritage to compatriots living abroad and the rest of the international audience.
