Two Million Tourists in Kabardino-Balkaria in 2025

During a "Direct Line" segment, Head of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic Kazbek Kokov summarized the key developments in the region's tourism industry, RIA Kabardino-Balkaria reports.

According to the head of the republic, the growth in tourist flow continues, with authorities emphasizing the planned and balanced development of infrastructure.

Kazbek Kokov noted that the previously set goal of welcoming 2 million tourists by 2030 will be achieved this year. This accelerated growth necessitated a strategy review.

"Today, a significant increase in tourist flow would be wrong, because we won't be able to provide the infrastructure for it. Therefore, planned, phased development is underway: the construction of new accommodations and new ski slopes," explained the Head of Kabardino-Balkaria.

According to the republic's Ministry of Resorts and Tourism, the Elbrus region is the main year-round "point of attraction," accounting for up to 70% of all tourist flow. The Chegem and Cherek regions are rapidly growing in popularity. Other leading destinations include the resort town of Nalchik, the Narzan Valley eco-park, and the Yantarny and Geduko thermal springs.
