The ski season opening ceremony on Elbrus (5642m) in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (the eastern part of the Circassian homeland) will take place from December 4 to 7, 2025. RIA Kabardino-Balkaria reports.
Guests can look forward to sports and entertainment programs at all venues, from 2,200 to 4,000 meters above sea level.
Approximately 12,000 people are expected to attend the event. Participation in the main events is free, but advance registration and the purchase of a ski pass are required for access to activity areas at altitudes above 3,000 meters. Separate tickets are required for the sports program and concerts in the parking lot.
