Adygea won six medals at the Russian Weightlifting Championships.

 


The Russian Weightlifting Championships for juniors aged 15-18 and 19-20 were held in Irkutsk. Athletes from 54 regions of the Russian Federation participated in the competition, according to the Adygea Committee for Physical Culture and Sports.

Eight athletes represented the Republic of Adygea, winning six medals of varying degrees. A total of over 340 athletes participated in the competition.

In the 55 kg weight class, Samir Achmiz won silver in the snatch, clean and jerk, and combined total with a score of 95/115/210 kg (coaches: Alexander Gorlov and Roman Kazakov).

In the 61 kg weight class, Astemir Ordokov took first place in the snatch with a result of 106 kg (coaches: Galim Khagurov and Radzheb Khagurov).

In the same category, Askhad Bguashev lifted 101/117/218 kg, placing third in the combined total.

In the 81 kg weight class, Rustam Shashev lifted 125/154/279 kg, placing third in the clean and jerk and fourth in the combined total. Both athletes are trained by Aslan Siyukhov.
