October 5 marks the Day of the Republic of Adygea. This year, the holiday is combined with Maykop City Day. Festive events have already begun. Children's concerts, book and museum exhibitions, competitions, master classes, and much more are taking place in Adygea's cities and districts, the Voice of Circassians newspaper reports.
The main events will take place on October 5. Organizers invite residents and visitors to Maykop, where a major concert featuring leading Adygea artists, as well as state and municipal creative groups, will begin in the central square at 6:00 PM. The concert will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display at 9:00 PM.
Also on October 5, the "Mezdakh" forest park area will host a concert program titled "We've been with you since birth—Maykop residents, growing together with our city!" The city's culture and recreation park will host the "Mountain Melodies" evening featuring the municipal brass band, the "My Adygea, My Homeland!" concert program, and an extreme sports festival (kickscootering).
Various interactive areas will also be open during the first half of the day, including a series of book exhibitions, a local history quest, a game library, master classes for children and adults, and a photo zone.
