On August 29, 2025, Prime Minister of the Karachay-Circassia Republic Murat Argunov held an extended meeting on the readiness of the regional education system of Karachay-Circassia for the start of the new 2025-2026 academic year, - the RIA Karachay-Circassia news agency reports.
The event was attended by members of the Government, heads of city and district administrations, heads of relevant departments and representatives of law enforcement agencies.
Opening the meeting, Murat Argunov emphasized that "the new academic year must begin in compliance with all safety measures and requirements imposed on educational organizations."
"It is necessary to prepare buildings and classrooms, ensure their compliance with sanitary standards, equip classrooms, sports and assembly halls, comply with anti-terrorist and fire safety measures, organize meals and safe school routes," Murat Argunov said.
Argunov said that on Knowledge Day, all schools will hold traditional ceremonial assemblies. For the first time, more than 5,000 first-graders will cross the threshold of the school, and 5,118 teaching staff will begin educational activities.
The reports was made by the Minister of Education and Science of the Karachay-Circassia Republic Inna Kravchenko, the Head of the Rospotrebnadzor Department, representatives of law enforcement agencies and others.
Following the meeting, Murat Argunov gave instructions to ensure a smooth start to the school year in the republic's schools. He also noted the importance of strengthening interdepartmental cooperation so that the new school year begins in an organized and high-level manner.
