The collection of the National Museum of the Republic of Adygea has received approximately 2,000 new exhibits found in the republic and Krasnodar Krai, 800 of which are on display at an exhibition to mark the institution's anniversary. Scholars date the artifacts to various periods, from the fourth millennium BC to the late Middle Ages,- the Sovetskaya Adygeya newspaper reports.
According to the organizers, the museum currently holds over 6,000 exhibits, a significant portion of which were added to the collection between 2023 and 2025. It is noted that only a portion of the exhibits are on display at the exhibition project "New Acquisitions to the Collection of the National Museum of the Republic of Adygea" to mark the institution's 100th anniversary.
Among them are materials obtained from excavations of such archaeological sites as the Deguako-Dakho Polyana complex (3 stages), the cultural heritage site of the Necropolis of the ancient city of Gorgippia, the Novy-1 burial mound, and the Prirechny burial mound 1, 2, and 3.
