"Circassian Woman" — a joint exhibition by the National Museums of Kabardino-Balkaria and Adygea

 


The National Museum of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic and the National Museum of the Republic of Adygea have opened a joint exhibition in Nalchik, "Circassian Woman. Harmony, Grace, Style," dedicated to Circassian (Adyghe) costume, RIA Kabardino-Balkaria reports.

The exhibition features museum items reflecting traditional occupations, important life events, distinctive costume ensembles, jewelry, handicrafts, everyday life, and religious attributes of Adyghe women.

The exhibition is divided into two thematic sections: archaeological and ethnographic, and covers the period from the 12th to the 7th centuries BC to the end of the 19th century.
