The World Armwrestling Championships (2025) are underway in Bulgaria, bringing together the world's best athletes. Approximately 1,500 athletes competed for medals,- RIA Kabardino-Balkaria reports.

Armwrestlers from the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic demonstrated their strength as part of the Russian national team. They competed in two age categories – under 18 and under 23. The juniors were the first to start.

Following the day's competition, Chingiz Shebzukhov (70 kg) won silver in both left-handed and right-handed wrestling, beating competitors from Georgia, Moldova, Turkey, and other countries.

The athlete's coaches are Astemir and Islam Tkhamitlokov.
