Adygea expects an increase in tourist traffic after the reopening of Krasnodar Airport.

The reopening of Krasnodar Airport will facilitate logistics for tourists considering Adygea as a vacation and travel destination, potentially leading to a 15-20% increase in tourist traffic,- the Sovetskaya Adygea newspaper reports, citing the republic's Committee for Tourism and Resorts.

"Currently, the republic's tourism industry is experiencing high occupancy rates. The opening of the airport is certainly a long-awaited event for us. And of course, this will provide additional growth in both the number and geography of arrivals, but will be limited by the republic's room capacity. Therefore, we expect growth of around 15-20%," noted a committee representative.

The committee clarified that even before the airport's opening, Adygea had been recording unprecedented tourist growth over the past year and the first half of 2025—a 176% increase in tourist trips. By the end of 2024, Adygea had welcomed 865,000 people. The region ranks third in Russia based on the half-year results. This year's summer season was particularly high in demand, but this has been a trend for several years.

As for hotel and guesthouse prices, the committee's experts believe the airport's opening will have little impact. This is because demand is already significantly higher, and even the mid-price segment has already seen a rise in accommodation costs. A 15-20% increase in tourist flow is more likely to fill the premium or near-premium segment, meaning it will not significantly increase prices.

As a reminder, Krasnodar Airport resumed operations on September 11, 2025.
