Circassian Sambo wrestler Rasul Nash, a pupil of sports school No. 1 of Takhtamukay district of the Republic of Adygea (North Caucasus), won a gold medal at the junior world championship held in Cyprus. This was reported by the administration of Takhtamukay district.
The youth and junior world championship in sambo was held in Cyprus in the city of Larnaca (11-13 of October, 2024). The competitions were held in different weight categories in sport and combat sambo among cadets (14-16 years old), young men (16-18 years old) and juniors (18-20 years old). More than 500 athletes from 35 countries took part in the main continental sambo tournament.
It is noted that Rasul Nash had four fights, in each of which he won an early victory over athletes from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia and Mongolia.
As a result, the sambo wrestler from Adygea took first place in the weight category up to 71 kg, juniors (18-20 years old), confirming his high level of skill in the international arena.
