Athletes from Adygea won gold and bronze at the World Karate Championships

The championship in all-style karate took place in Orel, where Adygea was represented by four athletes,- the regional branch of the Federation of All-style Karate reports.

Participants from 26 countries and 83 regions of Russia competed in such groups of disciplines as “full contact in protective equipment”, “full contact” and “limited contact”. Students of republican coaches Vladimir Vasilchenko and Amir Tlyustangelov brought gold and bronze medals to the Russian national team.

In the age category of 12-13 years in the weight up to 60 kg, Astemir Pakov took first place. He fought three fights and won all of them. The athlete finished the final fight ahead of schedule with a painful hold.

The bronze medal in the 14-15 year old category in the weight up to 64 kg was won by black belt holder Lev Kubabshev.
