A new project by the Concert Association of the Republic of Adygea, "Nalmes & Islamey. The Time Has Come. Part 1."
The program exquisitely intertwines ancient Circassian (Adyghe) songs and dances. Beloved melodies will sound new, and choreographic compositions will take on a contemporary narrative.
Indeed, "Nalmes" and "Islamey" are two inextricably linked parts of the Circassian (Adyghe) people, their rich culture and exquisite art. Both ensembles not only share a noble cause, but also live, breathe, and feel together, sharing common interests and recognizing their responsibility to their people.
The program was directed by Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Aslan Khadzhaev, known for his unconventional vision of Circassian (Adyghe) national art.
