Circassian singer Zaur Tutov will give an anniversary concert in Maykop

 


The legendary Circassian singer, People's Artist of the Russian Federation, Adygea, Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachay-Circassia, tenor-baritone Zaur Tutov will perform in the capital of Adygea on May 28 at 19.00. The singer's anniversary concert will be accompanied by an orchestra at the State Philharmonic Society of Adygea,- the newspaper "Soviet Adygea" reports.

The work of Zaur Tutov is familiar and loved by people of different generations. Over the many years of his career, the artist has performed many songs that are included in the golden fund of pop art in Russia. This evening, admirers of the singer's work will be able to hear their favorite songs.

Honored Artist of the Russian Federation and Abkhazia, People's Artist of Adygea Tamara Nekhai will be a special guest of the concert.

Zaur Tutov was born in Baksan, Kabardino-Balkaria, in 1951. In 1970 he graduated from the Nalchik Musical College. In 1973-1976 he worked at the Nalchik Philharmonic, since 1976 he has been a soloist with the Rosconcert (Moscow). He became a laureate of prestigious creative competitions in the GDR, Poland and Czechoslovakia. In 1986 he graduated from the Gnessin Musical and Pedagogical Institute and began his concert activity.

From 1989 to 1992 he worked as a senior lecturer in the vocal class of the Russian Academy of Theater Arts (GITIS). From 2005 to 2008, he served as Minister of Culture and Information Communications of Kabardino-Balkaria, while continuing his concert activity and vocal lessons. Then, for two years, he was Deputy Permanent Representative of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic under the President of the Russian Federation in Moscow.

The singer's repertoire includes works by both Russian and foreign composers, pop songs and, of course, songs in the Circassian (Adyghe) language.

Zaur Tutov is the owner of the highest award of the republic - the medal "Glory of Adygea".
